Explorer: Ask Relevance View

Present single documents under configurable formatting and Ask questions about your data from the AI engine

Ask Relevance view (it was initially called Document view) enables you to view the dataset under your preferred set-up. Table view and Grid view are the main two modes; for both, you can specify which fields of the dataset to present.

Add an Ask Relevance view

To add an Ask Relevance view to an Explorer dashboard, click on the + sign on the top toolbar and select "Ask Relevance View" from the list under Type of page.

You will see a new tab/page added to the top bar. The tab/page includes a table with preselected fields. Next, we will learn how to toggle between the table and grid view, how to configure more settings for either view, and how to select the fields to be present in them.

Page components

Table and Grid views

By default, the page opens up under table mode but it can be changed to grid via Table -> Grid as shown in the image below. The number of columns and rows (in table mode) and the number of document cards and their ordering (in grid mode) can be set using the same drop-down.

Note that the menu names change according to the selected mode; "Table settings" and "Card settings" when table and grid are chosen respectively.

Fields to present

The process of selecting the fields to view is the same under both table and grid modes; the only difference is the name of the setting (i.e. table or card setting depending on which view is selected); here we simply call it the "main setting".

To choose fields for each view, click on the main setting and select "Custom template".

On the opened page, you can select

  1. an image field (if applicable) - Leave it empty if there is no image field in your dataset
  2. the primary and secondary fields and
  3. up to 6 meta-date fields.

Note that selected fields can be removed using the x sign next to them.

Ask Relevance View Limitation

The Ask Relevance module on this view has a data size limitation. This means it provides you answers but in large datasets, it is very likely that the whole data cannot be sent to the engine. To overcome this issue, Relevance AI provides you with a separate flow called Ask Relevance.

Delete an Ask Relevance view

To delete an Ask Relevance view simply click on the down-arrow on the tab/page in the tool bar, click on "Delete page" and confirm the action.
